Can you recommend it and how much can you really earn?

My husband's aunt does it (but we're in the U. S.) and she only makes about $5-$10 a trip. By the time she pays for gas (they often send her 20-30 miles away) I don't really see how she makes anything. She's retired, and my guess is it just gives her something to do. They're really picky about how you fill out the results, and she has to do it in a certain format, ask specific questions, and always has to turn it in the same day of the shop, so its really quite a pain IMO.

Oh, and I forgot, she almost always has to visit a place in a really small time frame, too. For example, she took me to a book store shop she did, and we had to go between 10:30 and 11:30 am on a Monday or Wednesday or else she didn't get paid.
