Don't know what to do

Regular poster NC for this topic.

I've only just recently found out I'd never be able to progress in my current job (fast food restaurant) for various reasons and I don't want to/can't work here forever. I have a young DS, and a little experience in a couple of other similar areas.

Do any MNers have any suggestions about what I could do eg areas I could train in while DS is still young to maybe set myself up for a decent job/career for later? Maybe ideas of courses/qualifications I could do etc? Ones that maybe could be fairly cheap to do by myself, that would open up good opportunities for later as I'm a single parent so would still need flexibility?

I'm totally out of ideas!! Thanks everyone!

Difficult to come up with ideas without any info on your background, talents, capabilities, qualifications. What about your experience in a couple of areas, what were they?
