Don't want to goooooooo!!! I don't know what I am stressing about, its for the same job that I do now, same organisation, only its closer to home - I'd only have to travel 10 miles instead of 30.
But..... dunno really, don't like the idea of the "test" presentation thingy and our interviews are monstrous - I was two hours for my current job! We have all these areas that you are tested on eg problem solving, and under each one, there are 10 points or so, and when you answer the questions, you have to relate it to these areas and give examples which cover all the points, in order to get the marks
Its supposed to make it fairer but all it really does is mean you could be the best candidate for the job but not get it cos the worst candidate knew the "areas" better and covered all the points better
So in essence, I have had to "revise" for the interview, and I feel like I know nothing....
AAAAAARRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH

And it doesn't help that I LIKE my job now, I don't want to leave

URGH!

Feel better for that rant! Thanks

thanks - I think I will need all the luck I can get! No, its in Wakefield, my equivalent job in Leeds is over in Holbeck - think I would be travelling about 4 hours!!!

Its on at the 5 day 37 hours that I was on before DS2, but I told them before I applied that I would only want it if I could retain my 34 hours Mon - thurs. I could have accepted it then changed my hours but that seemed a bit sneaky, so I spoke to my potential bosses up front and they were happy with that. I think!

Good Luck Lisa - you'll be fine! I bet you know all this stuff standing on your head.

You could try the thing where you walk in the room and imagine the interviewers naked...that sometimes works - if you don't laugh!

Let us know how you get on. x

Well, thank Goodness thats done with!!!

My budget test was quite scary, don't know how well I did with the actual answers but I know my reasoning on that was sound, and my use of excel was fine

The interview itself seemed okay, it wasn't the most outstanding interview I have ever done, but I didn't disgrace myself either. Probably find out Thurs / Friday - I gather they were interviewing 6 people, so I shan't hold my breath!

will have my fingers crossed for you

Bugger - didn't get it
But my feedback was very positive - they told me I was pipped at the post by a measley one point!!?! How bad is that?
Still the woman that has got it is lovely and I'm glad for her - and I do like my job, so no real loss. But it would have been nicer to be nearer home...
