Working Parents Group in SE London

Well, I never did hear anything from anyone, as other SE Londoners on this site know, so I am trying to set a Weekenders Group up for people in SE London. I hope it will be for all parents who for whatever reason cannot get to the weekday activities organised locally (whether or not they work outside the home). I placed a message on the noticeboard section of mumsnet which has my e-mail address and I guess with the excellent publicity this site had in The Observer at the weekend, now might be a good time to ask members old and new to express an interest.
The sort of thing that I had in mind is already being done really well over at Crowthorne in Berkshire. Have a look at: www.working-parents.fsnet.co.uk (sorry, can't do activated links...) and see what you think.

Although I live in East rather than SE London, I would definitely be interested Marina.

I'm sure I'm just being thick here, but how do I access the Noticeboard? I can't find a link to it on the Home paage

Justiner · 27/03/2001 10:55

Hi Bells,
There's a button for the noticeboard on the blue navigation bar on the home page. You can go in from there.

Bells we're not Thamesist in SE London (we can't afford to be!) That would be great. On my mumsnet home page you have a set of blue buttons down the left hand side of the screen and noticeboard is near the bottom. I thought it was worth mentioning here too as I'm sure I'm not the only member who tends to just visit home and discussion...
My e-mail address is [email protected]
Hope to hear from you soon.

Marina, thanks for your message. Looking forward to hearing from you again.

Bells, if you still can't find the Noticeboard, the applet that produces the menu might not be loading. My OS gets annoyed and just ignores them sometimes. You need to have Java enabled, too. (Check your browser preferences.) At any rate, a link to the board is:
www.mumsnet.com/s/mn.NBMgr?cat=1
Hopefully that will work.

Thanks jj. I actually don't have a blue navigation bar on my home page so will give it a go.
