New work arrangements after mat leave

I'm due back to work in 2nd week of February after 12 months of Mat leave. I had a kit day in September (which I haven't yet been paid for!), and emailed my manager on the same day to set out my ideal new work pattern (down to 4 days from 5, Wednesdays off, working 2 short days from home and 2 long days in office). This is all in accordance with departmental policies even for those without kids. I have since had to sign my son up to nursery for February due to demand but have heard nothing at all about new working arrangements! It is roughly 12 weeks until I go back. Is this normal?!

I work for the NHS and our policy says you must hear within four weeks and sets out timelines for appeals etc too.

Thanks Nicketynac, does that mean within 4 weeks of requesting the new arrangement from your employer? I also work in public sector which is why I am surprised.

Yes, initial decision should be made within four weeks of request or a meeting should be set up within that time if the answer is likely to be no as far as I remember
