Hi
I handed my notice in a couple of weeks ago, had an issue with period notice also. But I’m due my wages from when I worked, they asked me to leave immediately when I asked how much notice I needed to give (we have no contract) I know the others were paid Friday Angry I have bills to pay etc I’ve texted the manager asking when they will be paid the reply “sorry I’m ill I will text you soon” wth? I’ve been in touch with Acas and have gone to early conciliation because I had issues regarding notice period also however this can take 7 days for them to start the process! 😭 I’m unsure whether to right to them again requesting what they owe I have already done this and just ended up with a rude reply, or wait for acas? I went through this recently and ended up with Acas who sorted it out for me very quickly. So long as you have written to them within 3 months of when they were due to pay you and kept a copy of the letter then you have followed the right process. They have to give you a wageslip. The problem may be calculating the hours as you have no contract so it can be difficult to prove exactly what you are owed.
Also you are entitled to 5.6 weeks holiday pay pro rata to the hours you work so make sure you have either taken any leave owed or get
payment in lieu when you leave
