Private Nursery or Childminder?

I have the choice of my three year old son going to a childminder and then the childminder picking up my five year old son after school or

Three year old going to a nursery and five year old joining him at the after school club

Both for three days a week

Any opinions on what is best for both, thanks, i am finding it difficult to make a final decision and time is running out

What about 3 year old going to state nursery then picked up by childminder and joined by 5 yo after school?

Which do you feel most comfortable with?

Stickynote do you mean childminder picks up 3 year old after playschool and then picks up 5 year old later? I am so confused, another option

I thikn i am more comfortable with nursery for some reason, i suppose because three year old will be prepared for school. Childminder sounds good for flexibility though, if i worked late etc.

Yes, that's what I meant. Certainly round here, some childminders will do pickups from both. I just thought then your ds2 gets the benefit of nursery plus you can relax a little if you're held up/working late IYKWIM.

really good idea Stickynote, hadn't thought about that, cheers

I'd go with what you feel more comfortable with. Trust your mummy gut instinct!

Mummy gut being the word
