HI I RECENTLY WORKED FOR 8 DAYS ON THE TROT. FOR THIS I WAS EXPECTING TO HAVE THE LAST TWO DAYS OF THE FOLLOWING WEEK OFF AS TOIL. UNFORTUNATELY I HAD AN INJURY THE DAY BEFORE MY TOIL WAS DUE TO START. THEY ARE SAYING THAT i CANT CLAIM THE TIME BACK. DOES ANYONE KNOW IF THIS IS CORRECT.

Far too many variables there! Was the Toil agreed beforehand? Why did they say they cancelled it? Did you go home sick and might be on sickness absence instead? If it was pre-agreed that you could claim it, are you allowed to take it another time?

It would be helpful if you didn't answer in capitals if possible.

Looks like you're on Caps Lock, judging by your username!

Was your injury sustained when you were at work? If so, you need to give full details to your manager so they can log the details.

Send your manager an email stating your injury, the circumstances etc, and also state that because of the injury you are now unable to take your TOIL as originally agreed, so can you please take it on [xxx date] instead.
