hi,
im a childminder & a single parent & am finding it hard to rely on the minding as there is very little work & lots of minders in my area.
im thinking of finding another job in december but the only 2 childminders that i would trust are full [the others i wouldnt leave a dog with] so would i be able to use a childminder in another area i dont mind moving dd schools but i think what im really asking is is it posible to send your child to a school need your minders rather than your own area????

Well I think the only thing you'd need to very carefully bear in mind is that you are very reliant on only ONE childminder. If she suddenly can't take your dc(s) or her circumstances change, you're stuck finding another childminder whom you trust as much again in the same area as before. I don't think you can rely on just one minder. You've also got to bear in mind the school(s) in her area. You child is going to be spending much more time at school than with her CM and she definitely should go to the best school you can find - assuming she can get a place there of course.

Would your dc's school have an before+after-schoolclub that they can use while you're waiting for a vacany with the CM you want?

the school that she goes to now doesnt but the school id like her to go to does.
so could i use that as a back up to the childminder do you think???
& can i just change her to a scholl i want if they have a place????
