Tesco job application website - anyone having issues?

Tesco job website is driving me insane - appears to be run by an outside org (tribalpad?). Currently advertising dozens of seasonal store jobs. My daughter applied for 3 online (the ONLY way you can now apply) and it said she didn't meet minimum criteria.

It doesn't seem to be working properly. I created her a new login which asked for documents to be uploaded for verification (it hadn't asked her to do that) and some of the questions sometimes have repeat answers (virtually identical answers) but it you go back later, it offers a real different version.
Their help page says if this happens you should review answers to questions on customer scenarios - and put yourself in customer shoes. WTF . She did that and I did the same in the new login. Exact same result!
I'm a pretty intelligent person - and I even varied the answers on a different vacancy with same outcome. It's so weird. I figure there is something wrong with their system - but she's now given up on Tesco.
Just wondered if anyone had similar experience? (I did wonder if they are looking for older staff but if so, it would be good to say that so people don't spend time filling in 10 screens of info :(

It could just be a glitch rather than a deliberate attempt to recruit older staff. I actually think Tesco would rather recruit youngsters so they can pay less wages.

It could also be a test of tenacity, the first hurdle.

Advise your dd to email them outlining the problems she's having in completing the application. [email protected]

I tried a few years ago with the same result. Gave up with the slightly outraged attitude that if they didn't think my years if customer service experience was up to scratch, they could get stuffed. I'm sure it was no great loss on either side 😊

Hello,

Yes, I have had problems with Tesco and with Argos, who have a similar system. It is frustrating for people who may be confident in their own skills and very demoralising for young people who may feel they have 'failed' at the first hurdle.

Yes. Also very frustrated. Given up now tbh. Sent an email on behalf of 18 year old daughter and they said they couldn't reply to me and she would need to send an email. Tried the chat bot think before that and also a phone call but got cut off.

This was in relation to the right to work documents. Everything she uploaded them they wouldn't save. Spent a whole day trying to get it to work.
