Colleague is a drama queen

My work colleague has some sort of drama everyday and it's affecting me. I work in a temporary position, my colleague has been in their post for a few months. She has either a migraine, feeling sick, home issues, boyfriend issues, cannot prioritise her workload and because of this she starts complaining about one of the above, either spending time in the toilet, telling every other person that walks past her or sits with her head in her hands. Even though we both have our own jobs to do, we do have some shared duties, which I end up doing most of the time by myself. Today she was told by her line manager that she needs to see an occupational therapist regarding her stress levels and I will no doubt help her out with her duties.... this infuriated me, if she stopped texting, chatting and having a drama everyday which takes up most of her day, she would be on top of what needs to get done. I'm out of there in 8 weeks, but feel like not going in anymore, but there's a chance of another job after I finish this one, I feel so undervalued being a temp and was told initially there wasn't any other jobs going after I finish but have just found out I'm being replaced by an apprentice when my contract is up... feeling very upset at the moment as you can imagine.

I know this probably isn't what you want to hear, but I think it's time to look for another job. You can't change your colleague. I assume you've not been there long, so you don't have much to lose by leaving, but the experience will help you find something else. Speak to your agency. Onwards and upwards!
