Flexible working appeal was refused....I either have to find someone to do my role as part of a jobshare with me, jobshare with someone else, find a new role within company or find a new role somewhere else.....

I just wanted to go back to work, two days a week, minimum hassle.....

He's just over a year....there is no way I'm going back full time..would miss him far too much....will just have to wait and see how finding someone to jobshare with (either my role or another one) pans out and take it from there.....ughhh!!! So don't need this....paying nursery fees already as didn't want DS to lose the two days a week we had arranged for him.....

Neither...head offices....deal with business accounts and base rate changes etc....so, on day of base rate I'm poised at my PC and ready to go into action (well, I was when I was working there, now I don't even realise its a base rate day!!lol!)

Oooh glad you are hear LL - DS has a temp again....he's been very cranky all day and when the Calpol kicks in, he's ok and then gets worse again. We gave him medised earlier, but only gave him 2mls of the allowed 5ml dose as it makes them sleepy and I didn't want him to be too knocked out and mask any symptoms iyswim? We just did his temp again and its 39....any advice? DH is bollocking me for not giving him the full dosage of medised but its really strong!!!

He's got a cold....been all watery eyed and sniffly, runny nose etc so I guess its down to that. He has a tiny rash on shoulder but it passes the glass test/disappears when press it so I think its just a heat rash....

The reason why I'm about medised is cos I took three 5ml spoonfuls myself the other night when I couldn't sleep and it totally knocked me out so a bit arghh about giving 5ml to DS....I'm just being daft I know....

Hang on a minute - you find a job share partner?

Thats not right - they should be doing that! One of the suggestions/proposals that is good to bring up is that it can be done on a job share. Did you suggest it and they agree (what it sounds like).

They should be advertising and putting things in place if they think it will work. I suggest you phone ACAS and go back to them with this. I can give you some info on pro's of job share if you want

Yes, I have to look for the jobshare partner....although they have said they will ring people that I think are suitable if I pass over their details, but so far, the onus is on me to do pretty much everything, including checking the internal job adverts as well....

They have circulated my CV around but haven't heard anything about that....

Ps

I've asked them to re-advertise the jobshare role while I'm off on extended parental leave, which I've HAD to take as I have no role to go back to atm so it makes sense for the role to be advertised while I'm off etc...they will be doing that so I suppose that is something
