Hi all so yesterday my 9 month old dd was such, had a temperature, runny nose the lot, was up in the night when she usually never is.
She was due to be childminder who seemed reluctant to take her , just stating that she couldn't take the other kids she had out of dd had temperature etc
I was obviously super stressed but was ok as it's only one day she's there the other 3 days she's with grandparents
But today got me thinking, if this happened again am I entitled to ring work and ask to stay at home to look after ill dd?

I'm not sure if this is allowed, my eldest who is ten I only went back to work when she is three so I'm not sure if there certain guidelines.

I'm sure like all mums, I absolutely HATE leaving dd when she's ill. It's just a horrible feeling. I'm aware I can do unpaid leave to look after child but not sure if it's an odd day when they're ill?

Thanks
