They are advertising in my local paper for homeworkers and I'm a bit wary of sending my details as have heard lots of stories regarding dodgy companies. Has anyone heard of them - the PO Box is in Exeter??

I'm new to this site so apologies if this has been asked before.

Thanks xx

I've never heard of them, devon, but generally speaking I think most of these companies are a bit dodgy.

Hope someone will come on with more practical info

Phoenix as in the greetings cards people? If so, then they seem very good. I have bought cards, wrapping paper etc from them before and their products are really good quality. They have a website if you want to check them out (if it is the same company).

they make realy nice birthday and christmas cards, wrapping paper etc which is sold via homeworkers. a friend sells their stuff and the card s are lovely and good value (£1 each). Not a huge money spinner but a good line to fit around children.

xposts with everyone!

devonsmummy · 07/06/2007 13:15

the ad says mailing envelopes so don't think it's the card company.

A friend of a friend sells for them she hasn't had any problems I am aware of. The cards are fab for £1 each. They sell lovely party invitations.

auntymandy · 07/06/2007 13:21

I love phoenix cards. I have a couple of parties a year and always do really well. think her commision is pretty good too.
Give it a whirl!!!

I know a couple of people who sell their stuff and I've bought lots of cards from them. They're lovely, good value, and one of the traders also gives a percentage of what she earns (or maybe Phoenix donate a percentage, I'm not sure) to ds's nursery, so the nursery earns from it too!

I'm a trader.

There is a bloke somewhere using the Phoenix name to run one of these mailing scams we were told about it via our newsletter.

Phoenix Trading the card people are doing their best to stop him as people like you are assuming it is connected.

Don't touch it.
