Format for CV

I have had some discussions with an agency about finding me another job. They've suggested that I send in a CV. As I work in the public sector and we never use them, I don't actually have one. Does anyone know of a website with suggested formats - or know of a good format? I would be applying for senior posts within the public sector, so need to get in as much info as posible about types of projects I've run. I'm also going to ask the agency for suggestions.

TIA

There are heaps of US sights with templates. Search under Resume might work better. Basically, the order goes Name, address, contact details, Goal, Profile, Areas of expertise, Employment History most recent first including organisation title brief job description which is result or achievement focused if possible rather than just a list of responsibilities which really does not say whether you did a good job of it or not, Qualifications, Other interests, but it will depend on what type of job you are going for. Surely the agency could give you some samples? Good Luck.
