Work problem

I've been working pt as a finance officer since April.
The previous post holders retired jointly, leaving nobody with any knowledge of their processes.
The handover was 2.5 part time weeks for me and my f.t cpunterpart got 2 days of training.
Neither of us have a finance background.
We're expected to carry out financial assessments to check entitlements to a benefit.
We've a massive backlog as nobody can check the scant amount of assessments we've done.
We've told the manager who keeps promising extra help. It's not coming.
The admin has been on and off sickness since we started.
We're drowning. Nobody can help as nobody knows the job except the retired folk who were there 30 years.
To cap it all, we've been told we're being moved (nobody knows where to) and our Manager will no longer be our Manager (but they won't tell us who will be) and the SM has resigned without notice.
I'm struggling to keep going as I can't do the job in the time available. There's nobody to support or train or check our calculations.
The systems dont work. People argue when we request payrun authorisation....no manager wants to do it. It's weekly.
On the plus side the hours are good for me, money's good, good annual leave.
Wwyd?

Not having a go at you, but why didn't the manager ensure that before these two people left, they both used their notice period to document the process and provide a clear handover, that's what a notice period is for.

I'd escalate this matter back to your manager immediately and hold them to account.

I have no idea why.
I do know that the jobs were offered to 2 others with finance/benefit experience but they fell through.
So despite both myself and my colleague telling them we did not have a finance background, they offered us the jobs.
We've constantly raised our concerns with our Manager but all we're getting is "We're trying to get support..or we can't get admin as sick admin is blocking the position" etc.
