I have worked in the local authority for a number of years.

I really want to start my own care agency or PA recruitment, has anyone done this and do you have any tips?

what a shame along way from me There's a lot of stress involved and i think you need to be a level 5 and be a Registered care manager and have a good cash flow as you can wait a long time to get paid and your carers will want weekly pay. I live south London/Kent

Yes, I meet the criteria but It’s a lot of work and money. I’m just planting the seed at the moment. You seem to have both knowledge and interest in this. Is it something you are considering?

I was at one point but it's a 24 hr job, so I stick with doing a bit of agency work and also being a private carer as I am registered on a site which does all the hard work I just accept the work if I am available. They not advertising for carers or client yet in Birmingham. Is there alot of work around up there for carers and clients ?

What qualifications do you have? Where do you live? How will you promote your business? I recommend researching laws carefully beforehand.

What sort of services are you going to provide?

Companionship, meal preparation etc? I suggest you check out the market. Irregardless you’re probably going to have to pay for office staff. Don’t forget about safety checks too.

You need to register with the CQC- care quality commission. And you must have a website. You should hire someone to help with financial affairs too.

There are lots of care companies out there already in operation.

This is a big decision.

Lots of questions and things to consider.

Hi

As I was saying before I work as a self employed carer the platform I work through is great all the work and none of the hassle so simple to use www.helper.community
