Claiming SMP from 2 jobs - anyone has real life experience?

Hi!

So I have two jobs, employed pretty much 50/50, and on the face of things I fulfil all the qualifying criteria for maternity pay from both.
Read this very helpful link : www.maternityaction.org.uk/advice-2/mums-dads-scenarios/pregnant/rights-for-parents-with-more-than-one-job/ which seems to suggest that you can indeed get SMP from two employers.
I have a few questions and hope you ladies can help - firstly, has anyone successfully done this? Secondly do you really get double the SMP (I qualify for the full amount from both) i.e. 145/week x2 this way? Thirdly one of these jobs will come to an end before my due date but after the 15th week before expected childbirth (so apparently I get SMP)- when I choose when to go on maternity leave and claim SMP from that job can that date be after I have left the job? I will be about 33 weeks when my contract ends but if I have a choice I would want to start receiving maternity pay from 39 weeks onwards or something to drag it out a bit more as I will probably go on leave earlier with the other job.
Hope this makes sense - it seems very complicated! Not looking forward to trying to explain this to 2 HR departments!

Not sure about the 2 SMPs but can see it would be possible.. in terms of the mat pay from the second one, I think they would pay it up as a lump sum when you go.
