Wait for a week until I inform HMRC?

My DH has officially started his new job today, but who knows how it'll go? and I have got to register my DS at a nursery and childminder this week. Will it cause a problem if I just wait one week before I inform them? As I want to do it all in one go, I.e. add my DH's new job and also the childcare providers onto the tax credits website.

Thanks in advance Smile

One week should be fine, as long as you backdate it accurately to the day he started. Lots of changes (or any changes?) can't be made in advance, so it's unrealistic to expect every change to be updated on the actual day!

You don’t have any direct contact with HMRC as an employee if you change jobs, so not sure what your DHs job as got to do with it all?

I wouldn't wait a whole week; I'd do it Monday. Just incase his company update his info to HMRC next week whilst they're setting him up on payroll - I wouldn't want to risk everything getting suspended.

All done now.
Thanks everyone
