We are being restructured and no one has told me

Hello,
I work at a private organisation, we have around 100 employees and as of last week, no HR department.
We are going through a restructure - my own boss didn’t tell me this, she told everyone else and in the end I panicked and approached her boss directly who confirmed this. My boss never has time to speak with her direct reports, cancelling meetings or flat out saying “I don’t gave the bandwidth to deal with you now”.
Part of the new restructure means new roles are being externally advertised.
Three of these are essentially the three or so different elements that make up my role. My colleagues have all had their JDs reviewed. I have not.
I have not been advised regarding redundancy but this is surely where it’s headed?
I’ve passed my probationary period and have been there 23 months.
My union (UCU) are not being particularly helpful.

Surely this is all wrong and dodgy on my employers part?

(I am actively job seeking and have been for some time)

If they don't mention anything to you and it ticks over into 2 years employment for you, you have earned statutory employment rights and they have to formally advise you if they make your role redundant. They should also offer you the opportunity for deployment to another role if you have the skills or if they want to train and redeploy you, otherwise they must offer you redundancy from your current role.

The fact they are advertising parts of your role externally is not relevant, you have no way of knowing if those duties need to be duplicated elsewhere in the organisation.
