My brothers girlfriend is about to start work at the same company as me and i’ve Just found out she’s going to be paid more than me.
She will have just finished her a levels and I started there a year ago after completing my degree (not in a related subject), appraisals and same rules reviews are not due until January and this is my first proper job and I don’t know what to do.

Are you sure she is being truthful with her salary? Maybe people round up or give a "range" of their salary when discussing with friends and family.

Your issue is not with her, it is with the company you work for. I would not discuss your salary with her going forward.

If you believe you deserve a raise, speak to your manager in your contact time and request one with evidence to back up why you are asking (related to skills/experience/qualifications- not based on another employee salary)

Hope this helps
Let me know how you get on

@Jan1234 I can't help with your problem but you may get a better response if you start your own thread in the employment issues section. Smile
