Manager ringing me every day whilst I'm signed off

I've been off work for almost two weeks with terrible pregnancy related sickness. The first week I self certified and the doctor signed me off for the second week, I'm due back on Thursday.
Obviously before the doctor signed me off I rang in sick each day. I then rang my manager when I was signed off and thought that would be that. Thinking that I'd give her a call tomorrow to let her know I'd be back in on Thursday.
She's rang me every single day that I've been signed off. Saying she's seeing how I am. Not really talking about much, just having the same conversation each day.
Am I wrong in thinking that ringing every day while I'm signed off is a bit excessive? I've never been signed off before so should I maybe still have been ringing in each day? I just don't really know what she's ringing me for. She's been given the date I'll be back.

Not acceptable. When signed off sick good practice is to agree how often you are contacted. If you have a return to work date, that’s that and you should only have to contact your manager by that date if you’re signed off longer.
If she phones tomorrow, I’d answer and politely say “thanks so much for calling again but really don’t worry about calling each day as hopefully the sickness will pass and I’ll see you on Thursday. If anything changes, I’ll call you” or something along those lines.

As a manager that feels quite excessive, I would have agreed with you that I might contact you the day before you were due back to see how you were and whether or not you would be back at work as expected etc.

What does your employer policy say?

I don't think that's allowed. Isn't it harassment or something?

It is allowed. Read your contract. She’s probably following procedure

If you self-certified for the first week, I don't see why you needed to ring in every day, unless you said I hope to be back tomorrow, and then weren't well enough so had to keep repeating that for the whole week. You 'set the pace' that your manager possible felt she had to keep up!

I would only ring in on the first day, then keep in touch by email, just to give a periodic update on whether you felt better, and a predicted return day - but not every day. Definitely too much.
