Waiting after an interview for feedback!

I had an interview nearly two weeks ago. The online application has changed to “reviewing all applications.”

I emailed the interviewer and she came back with:

“Thank you for your email. Unfortunately at this time I am not able to provide you with any feedback since we are still undertaking some internal processes. I will provide you with some feedback as soon as possible.”

Any ideas as to what that means? I’m driving myself mad waiting! It’s a company in the Defence sector.

It probably means what it says it means.

Or they have offered it to someone else and waiting to see if they accept before offering it to someone else. It had a last minute internal application. Or they are reviewing if the position is needed after all. Could be anything.

With recruitment... to you it's the most important thing so the waiting is hard but to a recruiter who are probably recruiting for other positions plus doing other bits... it might not be number one on their list of priorities so you just have to sit tight!
