Term time or 1 day less - advice flexible working request

I am asking for term time via a flexible working request at the end of my maternity leave.
I work 3 days currently and would like term time but if not to drop 2 days.If I give the option I think the employer would choose 2 days as it is less hassle so should I not include this in the request?

Can I bring it up if the application for term time is refused(which I suspect may happen although these are offered by my company).

Or does it count as a separate flexible working request as I know you are only allowed one a year?

I work for a big high street company in a non managerial position.

My holiday /leave is covered by the company booking a replacement through an agency which is normally straightforward.
However they usually have a central allowance of hours each week they allow for cover for my sort of job throughout the company to spread costs throughout the year.

School holidays are hard to get.Basically I have to request my holidays over a year in advance normally.Hence wanting term time, if not I just want to drop a day so at least I see my children most of the days in the school holidays.

Relacement booked by company is able to carry out my normal job fully - no backlog.

It is just I think they aren't going to want me to work term time if they can help it as it means less hours available for others to book this as their holiday.They will need extra cover so really what's in it for them?
