If you are self-employed, where do the majority of your customers come from?

Is it word of mouth, search engine searches, paper advertising in local area, social media, your own marketing campaigns etc.

Or other?

I've just been on to ask much the same question. I'm a graphic designer, so have been focussing on my social media profiles (particularly instagram) and blogging.

Still really early days but I'm hoping to be able to rely on referrals as I'm the worst salesperson ever. Not my strong point at all!

I'm self employed but in a niche market. When I needed a graphic designer I went on people per hour and selected someone from the list who showed me some of their work.

Do you want to say what you do, OP? Advice will be different depending on your industry and target group.
