Hi,
So I’m currently on maternity leave and work in childcare and I’ve just picked up my payslip and on it it seems I’ve only been paid my maternity up until yesterday when we broke and nothing for next week? I was on the understanding that maternity pay is flat rate and paid for the 39 weeks?

Sorry so maternity paid up until yesterday when we broke up for summer and nothing next week? We’ve been given our wage slip early that’s how I can see it x

Yes it’s paid for 39 weeks. You should have had a letter from your employer before you went on maternity leave confirming what pay you’d receive, did you get that?

How many weeks have you had so far?

Nope never had a letter, I’m on week 34 now so haven’t got long left but they’ve only paid me three weeks! X

Have you asked your boss what happened?

I’ve just got through to her and She just said the accountant sorts it out and as far as she knows it was 4 weeks? But she’s going to check i know it’s not 4 weeks it’s a lot less than what I usually get x
