Can I be made to work extra days

Hi I currently work part time. I have just had an email from the Office Manager asking me to attend a meeting regarding Holiday Cover, my immediate manager is off for two weeks from next week and I am bothered she is going to ask me to work extra days to cover when she's not in.

I do help out sometimes but I simply can't help over the next two weeks due to existing commitments on my days off.

Can I be made to work these days? I may be worrying over nothing (as usual) but she's a new manager and has already come made a few unpopular changes and I've heard a few not very nice comments from her about people in the office as a whole.

Depends what your contract says.
