No call back after interview when they said they would

Had a job interview at 12.45pm today. Was told she'd call me today with a decision.

It's now almost 7pm and no call so do I just assume I haven't got the job or do you think I should wait til a certain time tomorrow and then call her?

Just a min wage full time non skilled job.

Hopefully you'll get it, but I know how annoying it is when employers don't return calls It's just so rude! You take the time to apply, present yourself well and take time out for an interview then you hear nothing!

It usually means that they have offered it to someone else who is not sure whether they will accept it or not. You still might get it eventually.

It is annoying. This has happened to me before and they did call back and I did get it but for now it's just going to keep me awake tonight now! As well as the heat

If it is any consolation I was on an interview panel this week and no-one has been told the outcome yet. The interviews overran because of a fatality on the tracks for one of our interviewees so our deliberating has got to happen tomorrow now which was when we could next get together. Good luck!

I phrased that badly, the interviewee was delayed because of a fatality - they weren’t involved in the actual fatality

Congratulations! I was about to say that I was once kept waiting for about 3 days longer than expected, but then it turned out that they had decided on me for one of two jobs, but hadn't made up their minds about the other, and they wanted to let both of us know at once. But you're past that stage now
