So I had my internal interview on tuesday 26th, for a maternity cover post one grade up. They said in the interview that they wanted to do a handover pretty quickly as the girl going on maternity leaves mid July. I said I was on leave til then but was still contactable. The interviewer said 'no no no, I wouldn't contact you on your leave' but also said they would make a decision by the end of the week and I've heard nothing.
So I don't know if not hearing something is a, I didn't get it b, they're waiting til I get back to let me know or c, they haven't decided yet
I know they finished all interviews last Thursday and there were only 3 of us being interviewed (unless someone cancelled). I also know that the interviewers have not been on leave either. They work on the same floor as my department so they need to give me an answer at some point. I just wish they would email, text or phone so I know either way!
Should I wait til I go back from leave or do I send an email asking for an update? If so, when is a good time to email, how much longer should I leave it before emailing?
