Any one use shopify?

Just a quick question - when I'm adding a product it asks me if I want to "charge taxes on this products"

Do I need to? I don't think I do but just want some clarification

I don't use shopify but assuming you're in the uk it relates to whether or not you're VAT registered. If turnover over £85k you will need to be vat registered and collect relevant tax to pay to hmrc. Tax amount will depend on what you're selling. If under 85k you can choose not to register for vat and therefore you don't add it to your prices.
