I am on mat leave from a part time job with the nhs. I get omp.
Before I went on mat leave I was approached to supervise a piece of academic work. This is in addition to my usual role. I agreed, although explained I was on mat leave, but the supervisions are infrequent (once every two months) and for an hour, and otherwise just involve reading. so we agreed that I would do this remotely during my mat leave. Usually I would invoice the supervisions to my institution and I would get paid as a visiting lecturer, but I am worried that if I do this, it could stop my mat pay (which is obviously worth more). Any ideas?
