Is anyone registerd on Linkedin? Have you found it useful? Is it worth paying to upgrade?

It's an online networking site, here . Any views?

DH is registered with Linkedin and says it's definitely worthwhile making yourself visible to recruiters and making sure your skill sets are up to date. He has been headhunted twice through Linkedin - both really good roles.

He says it's also good for nosing at what old workmates are up to now in a Friends Reunited type style but he's not sure what else you would gain from upgrading.

DH has benefitted from it a bit. But hasn't upgraded, I don't think.

I'm on, but not upgraded. Twice in the last month (but never before) I have been contacted by former colleagues.
