Are you already working on the ward, is there anything that keeps coming up at staff meetings that perhaps could do with changing or improving. Anything show up in the ward audits that could be improved, infection control issues, delayed discharge issues, training and mentorship. Don't make changes without discussing with ward manager, then you formulate a plan of what needs changing, why and how and what you hope to achieve, any change will need monitoring and auditing. Have you made any changes or implemented anything, it could be something simple like a bereavement pack for relatives, welcome to the ward letter, think about what you've done.

I got asked this question last week and just talked about an assessment tool I had learned about on a link Nurse study day and trying to encourage others to use it as part of their holistic assessment. I didn't get the job !!
