i returned to work pg - anyone else been there?

its brilliant that i'm pg but am worried i'm going to end up feeling like I just justify myself to manager (work in engineering so only woman on team so they are not used to maternity leave let alone this, they'll prob be negative )

anyone been there? no idea when to tell them, only been back at work 3 weeks, think i was about 8 weeks pg when can back...

I think that you just have to bite the bullet and deal with the issue professionally - almost as if you're going on secondment or something! Don't justify it, but do be prepared to discuss the challenges it represents for your manager. I think that it may also be worthwhile being prepared to discuss how you see your career developing over the next say 3 -5 years (assuming you do have such a vision!)
