I am looking into going back to last job I was in before 10 year career break for children. Its a qualified job, and I was offered promotion to trainee manager but had not to take it due to ex husband.
Long story!.
The jobs I am looking at have not had an increase in wages for 10 years, no surprise, and would not have changed at all apart from possibly the procedures.
Should I ask for the same money I was on 10 years ago (which is the maximum on the job offer) or take a pay cut as I have been out for a long time.
Husband thinks I should request same money, but I think it will price me out of the interview if younger people take the job on etc...
Any ideas?
