Discovery Insights- personality profiling

Hi, someone on my team is having trouble communicating effectively and also with how they behave when challenged in meetings. I think if would help them to do Discovery Insights and then I can coach them around this.

I’ve only done Insights myself years ago so am a bit sketchy on it!

Does anyone know of a free online Discovery Insights questionnaire I could get them to do (even just a short version)?

Also, does anyone have any resources, websites etc that might help me coach them on this? Particularly around communicating with others.

Do they want your help.

Well I’m their career coach so it’s my job to support them on this kind of thing. Yes they realise they struggle in that area and are getting frustrated that it’s holding them back. They asked for my advise and guidance on it in our last session.

I don't know of any free DI q'aires; I assume you googled.

Does it have to be Discovery Insights? There are all sorts of personality profiling tools out there (though many want your money, which will reduce your options a lot.)

Also, what resources are available from your employer? We have a whole raft of online books and training courses, and the EAP can also advise managers on how to handle this sort of situation, not to mention HR. But I suspect if you're not in a big corporate organisation, you might not have access to so much.
