Leading and communicating competency?

I have a civil service competency based interview on Tuesday and I am completely stuck on what example to give for leading and communicating.

I have been a team leader before I went on maternity leave (the job im applying for is a grader Lower) so could I give an example of how I was a team leader and my role? Is that too vague? I really can't think of anything specific as I've been out of work for five years

It needs to be specific. The interviewer will say “tell me a time when...” Google Civil Service Competency Framework.

I always write out an an answer to each competency in the job spec and keep practicing. Of course, I make them up / exaggerate a real occasion’

Thanks! I've written out examples for the three competencies that they will ask. My examples are from when I was a team leader so I really hope that I can apply them to the questions they ask
