VR rationale... calling all HR pros!

I'm currently applying for voluntary redundancy during my mat leave period. Can anyone help me write a rationale as to the reason which also sounds good to return to the company in future?

• childcare responsibilities; couldn't commit to full time hours on return
• less demanding role at this time until at nursery full time

Etc... How do I word it with a good chance of being accepted?

How does this sound?:

I would like to apply for voluntary redundancy as feel it would suit both myself and the business at this time.
I would struggle with childcare on a full time basis on my return from maternity leave at the beginning of August and still unsure if I could commit to full time hours at this point.
Whilst I love my job and the company as a whole; I feel something less demanding at this time would be more suitable for me that I could give my full attention to.
