Hi, I'm hoping if someone really clever could help me with a calculation for a contract that requires the individual to work variable hours of 16 hours pw week for 42 weeks per year and 40 hours pw for 10 weeks per year combined.
My method for calculating salary is adding together the sum of 10 weeks at 40 hrs pw and 42 weeks at 16 hours pw then multiplying that by 12 to get the annual salary. (We want to ensure the individual has their pay spread over the year evenly rather than spikes and lows).
I have no clue as to how to work out the holiday entitlement. The method I've used seems wrong as it gives me a figure of 79.5 hours entitlement until the end of our leave year on 31 July (we get the statutory 20 days plus 8 public holidays).
Can anyone help? Thanks for sticking with it if you've read all of this!
