People volunteer for years to become TAs. It's an absolute mug's game.

Possible as you have only volunteered for around 15 days - they might feel like they can’t give you an accurate reference after this time. Would one of the teachers you volunteered with in class be happy to give you a reference? You could ask them, although they might have to pass it by the head first.

Asking a person to vouch for someone else in this situation carries rather a lot of responsibility. How can they do this when you've only been there 5 minutes! Also, maybe they're pissed of with people using them for a reference after 5 minutes then buggering off. Who would expect travel expenses fgs!!

You haven’t been there long enough! Six months to a year for a reference. I volunteer for CAB and they do pay travel. Never heard of schools paying for travel?

You want a school to pay your travel expenses?!

You really don’t want to go into teaching / TA then. We spend lots on classroom equipment school don’t provide for us.
