There was a thread a while back about a lady who had requested parental leave but was turned Down. It got sorted for her. I learnt a lot from that thread. So much so, I was able to challenge my own organisations policy which said you could only get said leave if your child was up to 5 or up to 18 with disability.
They have just changed the policy. Thanks to all the wonderful posters who pointed out this statutory right to me. I can save up to request additional unpaid time of with my son. This is invaluable!
