Just wondered if anyone could help. I have been struggling with bad aniexty recently which is caused by work. I am on tablets for it aswell as post natal depression. I seen the doctor today and he has given me a fit note that states my hours should be reduced. My question is do my work have to follow the note or can they disguard it? Thanks

pretty sure they have to follow it as if the don't possible insurance issues

If they can accommodate you reduced hours they should, but if the business can’t accommodate the advice on the fit note, then you would remain off sick.

They don’t have to, no, and as pp said if they won’t, you’d stay off sick until your doctor signs you as fully fit.
