So I'm being made redundant on 18th May. I currently work 4 days a week. Since finding out about redundancy I've applied for 2 posts- one of them has asked me for interview next week. All well and good except this role is only 3 days a week and only for 6 months covering maternity. Obviously any job is better than no job though!
Spanner in the works is that yesterday I saw 2 more jobs advertised that I could apply for (and would expect to get shortlisted for). They are both full time and permanent. Closing date for applications is 18th May. My quandary is that if I was offered part time temporary job next week, but continued to apply for full time permanent jobs, it would be pretty shitty to then let them down wouldn't it?
I know nothing is a done deal but I'm fairly confident about the part time temporary role, if only because the HR woman already told me on the phone that the original replacement has just left for a permanent job...
Should I just not bother with interviewing for temporary job next week and put all my efforts into the full time applications??
Can't decide how to play it..advice/new perspective needed please
