If you work weekends

How is it? Does it work for you?
I don't think my dh would like me to do it but part of me thinks it would be nice to have some me time at the weekend and not have to deal with the kids as I have them all week when they're not at school/preschool. Always me doing school runs etc.

There is a job in mind but it involves working Saturday and Sunday every week.

Don't do it if you don't have to. It isn't 'me time'- presumably you will have things that you have to be getting on with, and will have to be dealing with other people. When you work weekends it leaves you with little to look forward to other than booked time off- if you are a full time mum during the week and working all weekend, you will have little time to yourself or to spend enjoying your family.

After years of doing weekends and about to move into a mon - fri 9-5 job id say don't do it if you don't have to. You don't realise how valuable weekends are until you're at work every single one.

I'm considering returning to work doing shift work over the weekend. It will be perfect for my chidcare issues.
Currently we don't do anything at the weekend, very rarely anyway, so I hope it could work out well for us.
Could you do a Friday and and Saturday so you have Sunday with family? (This would be perfect for me.)

Watching with interest anyway.
