Current position redundant due to a restructure - advice please

I've been advised today that my current role will become redundant due to a restructure. I will have the opportunity to apply for one of three new positions, however only one is a suitable alternative.
This new position consists of 50% of my existing role and 50% of my managers role (essentially more responsibility) but at my existing pay level. I am currently at the top of my pay scale and there will be no opportunity to increase this scale.
What options do I have?

To be blunt, as far as I am aware... none I'm afraid

Apply for any of the jobs you want, if you don't want the alternative job don't apply. This may not stop them moving you into the role anyway, but there could be other applicants.

If you don't think you can handle the new job and are given it, argue that it is not a suitable alternative.

Your options are probably to either apply for the new role (depending on how your organisation's pay structure works, there might be an option to ask for job evaluation of the role at a later point particularly if there are others doing a similar role but paid more than you, but I wouldn't count on it as you would imagine that would already have been done as part of the restructure and it's been graded on the lower grade?), or if you feel the role's not suitable for you due to the change in duties make that case to management/HR and if accepted you can still get redundancy pay...

Hi, I'm new to this so bare with me. I have an 8 year old and second child due June 3rd. I've been made redundant at work leavimg on may 4th. I will get smp, however I am freaking out I don't be entitled to benefits. I struggle enough as it is barely making ends meet. Now I'm scared I'll lose my home get into arrears with rent and council tax etc. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I suffer with severe anxiety too and a single parent. Father of bump has left and not heard for over 3 months xx
