what training do you offer
are there opportunities to work in different branches
what are the company's plans for the future in terms of expansion
Best of luck!!!!

If it's a very "sales-y" sales job, they will probably be impressed if you "close" them down at the end of the interview.

At the very end, ask them what reservations they have about your suitability for the role.

They should give you one or two, if they're expecting this kind of question.

Cover each reservation, then ask if that has helped.

Closing down interviewers got me two sales-based jobs... if it is a really ballsy environment it works a treat. But be careful, if it isn't like that, you could get their backs up!

Good luck!

" so am I the type of peron you are looking for" ? good direct question back at them in my opinion! I used this years ago before DC and got the job. Fingers crossed for you

Smurfs · 08/05/2007 16:02

...or person even!!

mamatres · 08/05/2007 16:05

ooh, good ideas, keep them coming!
i normally end up with a few rubbishy questions to ask then when it comes to it i find they have answered all my questions already and i have to say' no sorry you ahev answered them already' otherwise it looks like i wasnt paying attention when they were talking iyswim.
quite nervous now. its been literally years since i had an interview.

Again, only in really sales-y environment but try:

What made you join this company?
How long have you worked here?
What do you enjoy about the job?

Don't do it like you're interviewing them, ask like you're genuinely interested. It impresses them as it makes it sound like you're genuinely interested in the interviewers themselves. Also it helps you find out if you like the place, as if they've no decent answers for you, why should you bother joining the company?

mamatres · 08/05/2007 17:19

ooh i like those mossie . good plan.
i think it must be quite 'salesy'. always seems to be when i have ever spoken to estate agents. they always seem like they have definite targets to meet and good commission to earn.

the main thing i want to ask is 'how much are you going to pay me?!!!!' but difficult to do that in a positive way.

Don't ask the pay question - it always puts interviewers off. That should happen during later negotiations. Good luck.

NoNickname · 08/05/2007 17:22

If you're being interviewed by your potential manager, ask them how they would describe their management style / how they like to manage people etc.

mamatres · 08/05/2007 17:47

oh no i wont sunyshinymummy- i just want to !
