Finishing up with long term clients

Is there an etiquette? I'm wrapping up with someone I've been working with on and off for 7 years (my decision due to a bigger, better contract I secured). We have worked quite closely in the last year, ie a couple of days a week in her office, and personally we get on well. We are going out for lunch - she suggested it before I got a chance to so I think she will insist on paying, but I do feel like I need to do something to thank her for all the work she's put my way in the last few years. Has anyone broken up with a long standing client, and what did you do??

No direct experience of this myself, but I think some sort of token 'corporate' gift would be nice - wine, chocolates etc, whatever you think she likes.
