Pre interview assessment

I have applied for a job within the police force, I've been shortlisted for a pre interview assessment. Has anyone attended something similar and what should I expect ?

It depends on the job. I’ve done a couple of different ones, mainly for researcher roles where excel and general internet research skills are assessed. Another role (investigative) one was a pre interview phone assessment where they asked “what would you do in this situation?”.
