How much to charge?

How much would you charge a friend offering to pay you for help with social media if this was your line of expertise?

Honestly, even as a friend I would expect to pay full whack as a properly planned and managed social media strategy takes a hell of a lot of work and eventually, it translates to sales/income. I would expect to pay anywhere between £200 and £300 per month for each of the social networks and it would obviously depend on the current scale of the business. I suppose with mates rates you could knock off £50 to £100 per social network.

An old friend has charged my brother £200 for a consultation. I think they spent an afternoon together. This sounds ok then?
