Hello everyone.
Really wanted to ask parents if you have been successful finding a position that allows them to work from home. I am looking for such a position and have only come across Avon reps, telesales, programming etc.
I am a qualified teacher, have experience working in finance and running my own business.

I am open to any industry but cannot find anything.

Any advice would be great.

Thanks in advance.

What about being an apprenticeship or NVQ assessor? Places like Babington group offer remote roles.

Have you thought about becoming a childminder?

Taxiparent · 07/02/2018 18:05

I’ve sent you a pm op.

I am self employed and work from home. I make and sell craft items online. I make more money than I did in my career in science.

Thanks everyone.
Childminding is not for me, i will have a look at Babington again.
Selling crafts is an idea i toyed with but i am rubbish at anything to do with crafts.
Thanks again

Some of the big accountancy firms advertise home-based pa/secretarial roles
www.pwc.co.uk/careers/experienced-jobs/opportunities/careers-in-virtual-assistant.html
Also Pearson advertise a lot of home-based assessor/examiner roles
jobs.mumsnet.com/job/914979/home-working-science-gcse-examiner-/
(I haven't done either of these roles but I spend a lot of time trawling through job adverts!)

I am a self employed School Fundraiser. I offer a free service to Schools & PTA’s to help them raise more money & I get paid by suppliers. I work whenever it suits, so it fits really well round kids & other committments. I’ve recently started to help others set up doing the same, as there’s no way I can cover all UK Schools ! It my biz, not a franchise or mlm etc.
